The Sandler Center for the Performing Arts, Zeiders American Dream Theater, Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, Little Theatre of Virginia Beach,  Military Aviation Museum, and the Lynnhaven House with support from Sandler Center Foundation and Virginia Beach Cultural Affairs Department will band together to support our local community with a joint food drive benefiting the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore and furloughed arts and entertainment employees.

 

While arts and entertainment help foster and nourish creativity and spirit in our community, we also want to help our neighbors in need with food and physical nourishment. Not only will we be collecting food for the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, but also to help the employees who give so much to the creative industries, and are struggling during these unprecedented times. From full-time staff to part-time staff to stagehands and everyone in between, our industry relies on these employees to help bring and host world-class entertainment to the Hampton Roads area. We hope you will join us to support people in need during this difficult time. Below you will find information on the food collection process. We will be hosting multiple locations with our arts and entertainment partners, with various dates and times throughout August for flexibility and ease.
