The beloved, free dance classes for seniors 55 and older returns to the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts for its tenth year! Dancing with the Seniors is led by Marquita Bianca, one of Hampton Roads’ most renowned dance instructors and owner of Baila Fuzion Dance Company in Virginia Beach. Participants in the program will learn ballroom, Latin, cultural, line dances, and more throughout the eight instructional sessions.

 

This bi-monthly dance series will span from February 10 to May 18, 2020, with one class from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. The program kicks off with an Open House on January 27 at Noon and concludes with a Senior Prom on May 21. During the Open House, participants can interact with sponsors, vendors, and dancing instructors while registering for the program. The Senior Prom allows participants to demonstrate their newly developed dancing dexterity. Dates for the program include February 10 and 24; March 9 and 23; April 6 and 20; and May 4 and 21.

 

The Sandler Center is currently accepting applications to be a vendor during the series. Companies looking to be a resource to the 55+ community are encouraged to apply.
